A very rare original album cover artwork proof for Boogie Brothers by Savoy Brown released on the Decca label
catalogue no.SKL 5186
Mysteriously the artwork bears a handwritten annotation 31/10/75 which is likely when the artwork was signed off cycle or moved to archive. Certainly at some point it ended up travelling from Decca to Shoot that tiger’s art studios in the 80s for a likely re-release on CD. 47 years old measuring approx 26×14″
Proofs were generally produced in low numbers by the art studios as they awaited approval for the design from the record company and/or artists and so inly a handful would normally exist. In the digital age they disappeared and so have become increasingly rare and sought after. They come with a hand signed letter of authenticity from the art studio commissioned to produce the artwork for the record company. From the Shoot that Tiger archive Art work is mounted, ready for framing and shipped flat.
