Pet Shop Boys Always on My Mind Original Cromalin Proof Single Artwork for an Unreleased Print

£1,000.00 £650.00

An extremely rare CROMALIN PRINT of the PET SHOP BOYS. The photograph was commissioned by the band’s record company for the single cover for Always on My Mind. Taken by Eric Watson in 1988 the prints were to be given to record company executives as gifts. If you think Neil and Chris look miserable in the photograph you?re right. They refused to sign the image and all of the prints were retained and never given out. Proof artwork is rare, normally only a handful were produced for approval. Cromalins were normally only made once due to the prohibitive cost. Some never made it past the drawing board making them very rare. In the digital age they hardly exist making proofs like this very sought after. With a hand-signed letter of authentication from the owner of the art studio commissioned to produce the artwork.

This is one of only two cromalin’s proofs of the image and is therefore extremely rare measuring 21.5 ins ( 545 mm ) by 21.5 ins ( 545 mm ) From the Shoot That Tiger Archive
