JOHN MAYALL’S BLUESBREAKERS
A rare 1st generation unreleased cromalin proof for STEPPIN’ OUT
12″ vinyl album release from 1981 (35 years old) measuring approx 26×13″
This super rare proof was never released in this format.
It is on the DERAM label unlike the DECCA or LONDON releases
There are no pictures to the back cover as on the released versions
The Track Listing is larger and continues to the bottom of the cover
it is most likely , the only one in existence
Some proofs never made it past the ‘drawing board’ and as such differ from the released version and are extremely collectable. In the digital age they no are no longer produced and therefore are becoming increasingly sought after.
The award winning studio was resposible for producing some of the most iconic Album and single covers and associated promotional items for the 70s 80s and 90s. Part of that archive is now available to buy.
This artwork is part of that historic archive.
Cromalin proofs are even rarer due to the quality and expense and normally exist in only ones or twos.
With a hand-signed letter of authenticity from the Art Studio commissioned to produce the artwork for the record company.
