Description
The artwork consists of two original uncut proofs for the cover of David Bowie’s “Alabama Song” & “Space Oddity”. This version of the single was released in 1980 on the RCA label. The cover differs from the released artwork. The writing on the front cover is white, unlike the released version which has yellow and green writing. The art is also produced at twelve inches square. The single was, however, only released in a 7 inch format. Proof Artwork was normally only produced in a handful of copies for approval by the Record Company, Management or Artist. A hand-signed letter of authentication is included from the Pop Nouveau Gallery expert, James Wilkinson. There is slight scuffing across the image. This fine piece comes mounted, framed and glazed. It measures approx. 26×20 inches.
