1985 approx (35 years old) SPIES LIKE US  The Original Production Artwork for the 7 inch single picture disc Measuring approx 27×15 inches Parlophone ‎– RP 6118 – B side My Carnival The Picture disc single released in 1985 was only issued in the UK and was one of  52 formats for the release of the single. It was issued in a clear plastic sleeve. The cover photograph for the A side was taken by Linda McCartney. The title track written by McCartney for the film of the same name starring Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd but it didnt appear on the soundtrack album. It was McCartneys last top ten hit until 2015 in the United states. On the original CS10 Art Board with all original PMT’s, Paste-ups and handwritten production notes with 2 overlays. It has a hand-drawn design for the cover and the artwork is showing none of the B side photographs that appeared on the finished product The artwork comes with a hand-signed letter of authentication from the studio owner and Fame Bureau Limited. Production artwork is the rarest of all media and in the modern digital world these artworks no longer exist. It is the origin of all subsequent proofs and ultimately the finished product. The design would likely be altered before production making these versions rare and unreleased. This is the only one in existence. The artwork was produced by ‘Shoot That Tiger Art Studio. The award winning studio was responsible for producing some of the most iconic Album and single covers and associated promotional items for the 70s 80s and 90s. Part of that archive is now available to buy.
